On behalf of our joint venture partners, STOS is responsible for the most significant finds of oil and gas fields in New Zealand’s history. These fields play a crucial role in the supply of energy resources to the nation.
With this in mind, we are also responsible to ensure we extract the maximum amount of oil and gas from these fields. Our Development Group (commonly referred to as Rock Doctors) uses its technical expertise to conduct seismic surveys to evaluate the remaining size of these hydrocarbon resources – and predict their continued performance.
The team also ensures our facilities are designed and maintained to a high standard of technical integrity. Identifying new technologies to improve our efficiencies is also part of their mandate along with statutory reporting to the Ministry of Economic Development.
And through our in-house staff, the team at STOS undertake an extraordinary range of corporate activities to ensure efficiencies, profitability and safety are maximised for our joint venture partners.
Our head office operations include management, financial and communication services, IT services, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
